Richard F. Delamain

Richard F. Delamain succumbed to cancer after 13 year battle on Wednesday November 4, 2015. He was born in San Antonio to Herbert and Margaret Delamain on March 9, 1940. He is survived by Suzanne, his wife of 51 years, his children; Holly Breadner and Frederick Delamain, his grandchildren, Sam and Ryan Breadner.

Richard attended Horace Mann Junior High, and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1958. He played on the varsity basketball team. Richard received his BA degree from St. Mary’s University, San Antonio in 1962. He was a member of the Order of the Barons Fraternity. He received his Masters Degree in Education from Trinity University, San Antonio in 1967.

His work was coaching elementary physical education in Northeast School District in San Antonio. Coaching junior high physical education in Northside School District and coaching football, basketball, and track at John Jay High School. Richard was the Assistant Principal at West Campus High Scholl in the South San Antonio School District before becoming the Principal at Bandera High School in Bandera, Texas where he retired in 1995.His various activities included playing for the San Antonio city basketball team, running a small cattle business with friends, hunting fishing and skiing which he loved.

Richard Loved the Lord Jesus Christ and served him faithfully. He attended Hill Country Chapel in Pipe Creek, Texas, where he served as an Elder.

A memorial Service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Hill Country Chapel, 886 Mountain View Lane, Pipe Creek TX 78063.
