We started our trip at the Four Mile Creek B&B in Glenwood Springs.  Jim & Sharill were great hosts!
We stayed 2 nights at the Creekside Cabin.
The creek was VERY CLOSE to the cabin.  It was very peaceful sounding with the windows open.
Dinner time!
The first day we took a driving trip past Mount Sopris (in the photo above) through Carbondale and on to McClure pass.
Mt. Sopris from the valley.
On the way to McClure Pass.
There was still a little dirty snow on the side of the road at the top of the pass.  The Aspen trees were still bare, but a few hundred feet below, they were full of bright green leaves.
On the way back we stopped to see the Hays Creek Falls.
Video of the falls.
The following day was our 25th anniversary.  While we were enjoying another great breakfast, it started to SNOW.  It was too warm for the snow to stick to the ground, but it was great to enjoy while it lasted.
We moved to the Garden Cabin after breakfast (it was on the right at the end of the video above).
This was a great room.  It even had a fireplace.
A couple of old folks rocking in front of the fire!
Just a little snow on the leaves.
These mountains were green before the snow, and they were green again by noon.
Every day we went to the hot spring pool; the water temperature on this side was 105F.  This picture was taken on our anniversary about 11AM.  The outside temperature was 41F.

Pool Webcam while we were there!
The back or the car after swimming!
Tuesday, we took a ride through the Crystal River Ranch to Carbondale. They water all day, so the freeze the night before left these "frost rings"!
Remains of the trick ski area in Aspen.
A little shopping in Basalt.

There was a wedding at the B&B on Tuesday afternoon.  The bride & groom stayed in the "barn loft" after the wedding.
Doris feeding the baby goats.  There are two brothers at the B&B.
Wednesday we said goodbye to Jim & Sharill and headed toward Breckenridge.  Doris drove all the way including Vail Pass.  A few years ago she would have been covering her eyes through the mountains!!
Fireside Inn - our home for two days.
Peak 9 from downtown.
Thursday found us driving through Fairplay to Leadville.  Of course, Doris found several antique stores!
Doris did all of the driving, including two passes over the Continental divide.
Clinton Reservoir - still a little frozen!
Idaho Springs, CO Idaho Springs on the way back to Denver for the flight home.  There were several nice antique stores there.
